It's completely normal and appreciated when a customer knows exactly what they want. Some customers don't want clippers on the top of the head because it gives a more blunt look to the cut, as opposed to shears that cut the hair at an angle. Any professional should know this, and not be offended, or feel like the customer is trying to "limit their tool usage" 🤣Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-80503870839055599792023-07-24T03:48:43.983-04:002023-07-24T03:48:43.983-04:00Typical. They want to feel cool, they're curious, prove something to themselves, that's all. Same with If I walk into my barbershop and see white guys, which is their "new thing" all of a sudden, then I walk out.I walk out. I see enough white people everywhere I go so I don't need to see them when I'm getting a cut. They change the vibe altogether. Worst ones are the ones who want to "act black" or that have a black girlfriend and think they're cool because of it. Being ‘the only’ is not fun. In this story, the guy says he breathed a sigh of relief when another white guy walked in. And people wonder why black people find each other and group together when they do find each other at school, work, or wherever. And has any white person ever thought that things like “crazy hair day” at school might not make sense for black kids? I totally get it if you don’t want your hair done at an ‘ethnic’ salon, and I agree they take forever, but just try to imagine how it would feel to be ‘the only’ everywhere you went. Maybe then you can help make those few black/brown friends feel more comfortable and be considerate of, instead of annoyed by, our differences.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-77708770385664425282018-08-16T18:20:14.827-04:002018-08-16T18:20:14.827-04:00I am so flipping triggered I get a haircut just be...I am so flipping triggered I get a haircut just before school starts and I trust he knows the way I like it because I go there often and he once cut my hair so low I cried when I was younger but guess what he did it F**KING AGAIN. I had hoped to get the female stylist as my hair does not resemble black male hair at all. After an hour of waiting for my turn, the wife seemed very hesitant to want to cut my hair, but I had waited an hour so I just let the husband cut it instead, how bad could it be? I was specific with how I wanted it and he tried to work with it to the best of how he thought I wanted it. He gave me the most flamboyant sissy looking haircut I'd ever received. There's no angle I could have combed it to it to make it look like I wasn't a raging flamboyant homosexual with a huge black boyfriend. Really goes to show how his subconscious perceived me and people with my type of hair.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-15522180022737129992017-01-13T23:26:32.865-05:002017-01-13T23:26:32.865-05:00I thought at first this was a racist rant. But it ...I thought at first this was a racist rant. But it turned out pretty funny and just an explained experience you dealt with. My nephew is mixed and so is my daughter. He gave us a place to cut her hair, it also was a barber shop. She had dreadlock at the time and I allowed her at home to shave the side of the front, stupid decision. Actually found out she wanted to get the dreadlocks out, she had them for years and her hair was midway done her back. When we walked in I was cool with everything, she was a little nervous because they were all men. They all were flipping out because she was cutting her locs and didn't understand. so she wanted to do an art design in the shaved area an I asked who could do that here, see you gotta ask. Just don't expect they can do it. So she was getting her hair side shaved and there was a guy that was doing nothing, so I asked if he could cut my hair. Bless his heart he seemed so nervous about doing my hair. I finally said, that I wanted it short > go for it. So he sort of went for it but was still being a little conservative about it. But all in all he did a good job. If you felt uncomfortable in the first place, there's nothing bad about leaving or asking if they can do you type of hair. Being for real isn't racist, you must not be around a lot of black people, once you do, you will not feel so uncomfortable. Good experience for you and you also write very well!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06869779565511775636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-57388137918099417952016-10-05T11:26:19.115-04:002016-10-05T11:26:19.115-04:00Boom.Boom.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-65353684894003308872016-10-05T11:21:43.050-04:002016-10-05T11:21:43.050-04:00#4 isn't really taking much off the sides...ju...#4 isn't really taking much off the sides...just saying.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11288911.post-42950645475965859462016-10-05T11:17:29.229-04:002016-10-05T11:17:29.229-04:00Agreed,you got a bad barber.
